Online Tuition That Builds Maths Confidence
Why I started PeerPath Learning
A few years ago I was diagnosed with ADHD. It was a moment that changed the way I see education entirely.
Suddenly so much made sense. Not just about myself, but about the students I had worked with who were clearly capable, yet not thriving. Students who were not failing because of a lack of ability, but because the traditional classroom was never designed with them in mind.
But here is the thing. You do not need a diagnosis for this to be true. The reality is that most students are never taught how to study. They are not shown how to break down a problem, how to manage their time before an exam, or how to ask for help when they are stuck. That is not a learning difficulty. That is a gap that the right support can fill.
With class sizes the way they are today, a student averages just one minute of direct time with their teacher per lesson. One minute. For any student who needs a little more guidance, whether that is a student with a medical diagnosis, a student who lacks confidence, or a student who simply wants to understand the why behind the maths, that is not enough.
I created PeerPath Learning to change that. Our tutors work with students in small groups of around six, where students learn together, ask questions, and build confidence in a supportive environment. Many students also combine this with individual sessions, giving them the chance to consolidate what they have covered and get truly personalised attention. It is a model designed to give every student more of what the classroom cannot.
With a degree in mathematics and a background in teaching, I built PeerPath around one simple belief. Every student, regardless of their background or ability, has the potential to grow with the right person in their corner.
Every child has the potential to succeed in maths.
Sometimes they just need the right person in their corner. We help secondary students build real confidence, tackle problems head on, and walk into exams feeling ready. Because strong maths results open doors to university, to careers, and to a future they are excited about.
